Evento virtual para residentes - Proposición A del 8 de noviembre de 2022

La Junta de Comisionados del Distrito de Servicios de Emergencia Nro. 1 del Condado de Travis (TCESD 1) se complace en invitarlos a nuestro Evento Virtual de Concientización y Educación para Residentes para discutir la Proposición A con respecto a la tasa de impuestos ad valorem en la próxima boleta de votación del 8 de noviembre de 2022 relativa al TCESD 1.

El seminario web cubrirá la información presentada previamente en nuestros eventos públicos sobre el plan estratégico y los objetivos del Distrito, y lo que significaría una reversión de impuestos para los modelos de servicio y el apoyo de los residentes. Los asistentes podrán hacer preguntas para entender mejor el modelo de financiación de TCESD 1 y cómo una reversión de impuestos impactaría los objetivos a corto y largo plazo del Distrito.

Para prepararse para el evento, asegúrese de repasar la información publicada referente a la elección en Información Electoral

El evento será grabado y publicado en la página de la elección mencionada antes dentro de las 24-48 horas posteriores al evento junto con todos los materiales y anexos que sean presentados para que los residentes que quieran puedan repasar la información o para quienes no pudieron participar en vivo.

Resident Virtual Event – Nov. 8, 2022 Proposition A

The Board of Commissioners for Travis County Emergency Services District No. 1 (TCESD 1) is pleased to invite you to our Virtual Resident Awareness and Educational Event to discuss Proposition A regarding the ad valorem tax rate on the upcoming November 8, 2022 ballot relative to TCESD 1.

The webinar will cover information previously presented at our public speaking events regarding the strategic plan and goals of the District, and what a tax rollback would mean for service models and resident support. Attendees will be able to ask questions to better understand TCESD 1’s funding model and how a tax rollback would affect the short and long-term goals for the District.

To prepare yourself for the event, be sure to review posted information regarding the election at: Election Information

The event will be recorded and posted to the election page mentioned above within 24-48 hours of the event, along with all presented materials and exhibits for residents who want to revisit the information or who were unable to join live.

FIRE DANGER DOES NOT END AFTER IT RAINS

Wildfire Education & Prevention - Texas A&M Forest Service

Some areas of Texas received some rain over the last week. Remember that fire danger doesn't always end after it rains. Just a few dry, windy days can dry out vegetation like twigs, leaves and grass. Happy 4th of July!!

Just like you, Travis County ESD #1 is getting ready for the holiday weekend. We plan and prepare for every possible scenario we can think of that could happen over the holiday. In the picture above you can see we are prepping the emergency tent for set-up for the weekend festivities. The tent itself is climate controlled and can be utilized as an emergency shelter, medical tent, or an incident command post if needed. We hope that you have a great holiday weekend with your family and friends but please enjoy responsibly for your safety and others.

Travis Co. ESD #1 sends help to Dempsey Fire

Travis County ESD #1 personnel to help with Dempsey Fire

On June 26th, Travis County ESD #1 deployed Driver/Operator Rodriquez and Firefighter Bertling to the "Dempsey Fire" in Mineral Wells, Texas. As of June 29th, the fire has burned an estimated 11,598 acres. Fire departments from Palo Pinto, Parker, Erath, Jack, Young Counties as well as the Texas A&M Forest Service and others are continuing efforts to suppress the fire. We wish all of those fighting this fire a safe deployment.

Touch a Truck day at Lago Vista Public Library!

The Lago Vista Public Library hosted "Touch A Truck" day on June 29th. Crews from Stations 101 and 103 help host approximately 50 lucky kids and their parents allowing them to climb onto Quint 103, Squad 103 and Medic 101 to see what it's like to be a Firefighter! The cooler temperatures from the rainfall helped relieve some of the recent heat for all to have a good time.
